Baby and Toddler Stay and Play Session
The Pre-school also runs a baby and Toddler play session, held on Wednesday afternoons during term-time.
This is open to all parents and carers of small children in the area, and we welcome children from birth to reception class age.
Each week there are a range of activities available for you to access with your child, and the session is a good way to make new friends and experience new things, for both the children and the adults. Approximately once every six weeks we hold a "Messy Session" where all the activities are based around paint, glue, playdough, sand, water, etc, and children are free to come and make a mess as they wish.
The cost of the session is £1.50 per family and refreshments are included in the price. The session starts at 1pm and ends with a short sing along at 2.40pm (except on Messy Sessions when singing is suspended).
Some families find that, having attended the play sessions, being familiar with the setting helps their child settle quickly into the Pre-school. However the sessions are open to all, whether or not the children will be attending Laurel Pre-school.
